Ron Lipps started seriously writing songs when he met Larry Rice, his vocal teacher, eventual songwriting collaborator, and friend when his girlfriend Margie got him voice lessons for his birthday. The collaboration resulted in Two Old Hearts, which was the artist name for the songs that were written and recorded by Ron and Larry. Time and lives progress and Larry is now enjoying his grandkids, occasionally teaching, and playing music with his girlfriend Ann (Two Peas ) and I am continuing to write songs and play open mics when I get the chance.
This web site is for the music I am creating on my own. So far I have about 10-15 songs that are in various stages of completion. I have started recording some of the competed solo songs along with some songs from the Two Old Hearts era that were never recorded. I will update the web site when I have any announcements on my songwriting/recording progress so stay tuned...

I am available for acoustic gigs and perform my original music on acoustic guitar and have recently started playing some of my songs on ukelele. I have been performing at open mics in the Front Royal area and recently was part of a singer/songwriter showcase at the Catamount Lounge in Downtown Front Royal. I have about 45 songs that I've played at open mics and have started to add covers to my repitoir (mostly classic rock songs) so I have enough material for up to a 3 hour gig.
Please check out the videos of my open mic performances as well as the singer/songwriter showcase on the videos page. I have equipment to perform at small and medium size venues. If you have any questions or want to contact me for bookings, please email me at ron.lipps@ronlippsmusic.com
